Sands of Time, Blowing in the Wind
A day of R&R away from planning and preparing. Down to Dymchurch for a walk along the beach to Greatstone and back, nearly 7 miles of admittedly flat walking.
A stiff breeze on the way out, blowing sand across the beach like the Sahara Desert but not as warm. Managed to capture millions of grains blowing across a groyne.
Wind behind us on the return journey and the sun on our backs. A lovely day ending up with a pint of Hopfuzz pale ale and peanuts at the Unit 1 brewery at West Hythe, one of our favourite destinations after a walk or cycle on the marsh.
Now all booted and suited for Saturday evening. Bring on the aperitifs. Mongolian Beef Curry tonight. Chocolate will be involved.
Another day of R&R tomorrow, back to it Monday. I’m on the Railway at Tenterden Town. It’s our Diesel Gala this weekend. It’s been very popular the past two days. It promises to be a busy and interesting day.
