Glittering
Dear O'H dear, & Lovely Tea Jenny,
“Aw f**k,” was my first thought of the day.
It was painful first couple of hours until tea (and paracetamol) relieved my wine flu. The Youngest Mini Princess came through from Glasgow* for a dentist appointment and then the three of us headed to Mary Doll and Victor’s.
Mary Doll looked at my wedding ring.
“Have you had your ring cleaned?”
I stared straight ahead, aware that any eye contact with my daughters was going to get me into trouble.
Me: “Nope”
MD: “It just looked very shiny. I thought you must have had it cleaned.”
Me: “No.”
EMP: “It’s good to have your ring cleaned.”
It took EVERY bit of willpower not to laugh. I could actually sense EMP willing me to look at her.
My children are trying to get me into trouble with my mum!
C
*EMP picked her up from the train station. She messaged YMP to let her know where she was parked. YMP’s response - “No one cares”!
