Hebden Old Bridge

ERECTED CIRCA A.D. 1510 REPLACING A MEDIEVAL BRIDGE BUILT OF TIMBER

MANY REPAIRS WERE NECESSARY IN A.D. 1602 AND AGAIN IN A.D. 1657. THE PARAPET BEING REPAIRED IN A.D. 1845 AND RAISED IN A.D. 1890

THE EASTERN ARCH OF THE BRIDGE SPANS THE TAIL-GOIT OF BRIDGE MILL, ORIGINALLY THE MANORIAL CORN MILL OF WADSWORTH

I've a nagging feeling I've posted a picture very similar to this in the past, but I guess after twelve years of posting a daily photo, I'm going to repeat myself at some point!

We had a wonderful relaxing day, today. Late breakfast in a Persian café, a mooch all around the shops, and dinner at Il Mulino, which is exactly what I want from an Italian restaurant.
