Oh, my favorite daylily, the lovely red...

Last year I got a deal on daylilies, 100 for $100 and planted them all along one fence line in my garden and this summer as I walk out every morning it is such a delight to see what has opened up. With a big bargain lot like that the colors are mixed and you never know what you will get. The reds and pinks are my favorites, this one most of all. The camera can't quite capture the glory of this red, but I had to share it. A joyful start to my day, greeting this bright spirit in the garden...
