Sunny walk around the floating harbour

Met my lovely niece H at the M Shed and we walked in gorgeous warm sunshine right around the harbour. It’s 11, 000 steps so I guess a couple of miles.  Above are things we walked past: the SS Great Britain, some gorse at its absolute best in a front garden, and the cascade steps by the Watershed.  There were lots of children playing in the water, but I managed to avoid getting them in my photo - always feel very uncomfortable taking pics of children I don’t know.
She’s a professional musician who plays the saxophone and flute. She plays jazz and classical, but to pay her mortgage she plays in touring musicals.  This week she’s at the Hippodrome in a jukebox show of Stock Aitken Waterman songs (mainly Kylie, some Bananarama, finishing with Rick Astley ’Never Going to give you up’. She advised me not to go:) I rather regretted that I didn’t though.  People have such fun at these events ) I’ve seen her in In the Heights, Dreamgirls, Chicago.  Last year she toured the USA and Mexico with Riverdance which was an experience.  She’s doing Everybody’s Talking about Jamie next.  I’m incredibly proud of her:-)
The extra is a selfie of us having lunch on the terrace at the Watershed.  Such a lovely day.
