La belle France, enfin! - Jour 2
Saint Emilion
A beautiful day from dawn to dusk, not a cloud in the sky all day and still 26 degrees at 7.30pm. Oh, and this morning I heard a cuckoo in the garden!
It’s very late, in fact nearly tomorrow, so in brief...
Across the Dordogne and into Libourne this morning to browse the shops and market, though by the time we got to the market the stalls were already packing up.
Back home for a long lazy lunch then late afternoon to Saint Emilion, my favourite place in France, where we visited the cloisters, wandered the steep cobbled streets and enjoyed aperitifs in the village square, soaking up the early evening sunshine and atmosphere. Then back home once again for a late night pizza and natter.
In extras: 1-2) Libourne, 3-9) Views of Saint Emilion, including a couple of sneaky selfies!
Thank you so much for all your kind words, stars and hearts.
