The Worm Forgives the Plough*

The Current Mrs Creel had departed mid-morning.  I walked up to the Village and caught the bus to Kirkwall.  By no coincidence Peter was on the bus.  We got off at the Balfour Hospital and walked up the Holm Branch Road to a weel kent Kirkwall Hotel.  Not by chance Alan had taken half a day off his work and joined us for lunch.  Post lunch (no stamps required)  and purely in the interests of research, we sampled quite a few whiskies.  Standouts were a Balblair 04 / a Glen Garioch 1997 /  Springbank 12 ‘Green’  /  a Longmorn 13.   All high ABV.
