travelling hopefully

I arrived in Hereford today by train (not bicycle, this is Edward Elgar, who loved her between 1904 and 1911). All went well, even though I had to run between platforms at Crewe to catch my connection. Not an easy place to run, dodging people with luggage and looking down at their phones, but I made it.

I’m staying here for one night, on the way to Wales, so that I can see Hereford Carhedral and the Mappa Mundi. I’ve spent time wandering around the cathedral this afternoon and have saved the Mappa Mundi for tomorrow.

This evening I am travelling again, to Ludlow, to meet Harry, who was in my year at university. I last saw him at our wedding so that’s 36 years of catching up to do :-)
