MEET UP

We were up at 3AM!!!!
Drove to Gatwick…picked up snack…on the plane by 5:30!!!
We landed at 11:30 (9:30 GMT) …all going so well until a 40 min queue for passport control. At one point only 1 guy checking non EU passports!!! Then another frustrating hour trying to find our hire car transfer bus and then finding out our insurance cover wasn’t enough!!!!

We were on the road to Athens at 1:30 and arrived to meet Christina (O’s ex girlfriend’s Mum!?!?) we vowed to remain friends whatever our children decided to do (with their agreement). We visited her lovely home that has been decorated to a very high spec. Then we went out for a meal at a local taverna…delicious. Sadly it was a quick visit as we then had to drive to Vari (an hour away) for our accommodation by the sea.
It’s a perfect space…compact but with a big balcony overlooking the sea.

The Rev is getting very anxious now and is constantly going off in a daze as he contemplates what is ahead of him in a weeks time. I was hoping he’d switch off a bit but obviously that’s hard.
