Cormorants & Gulls

We cheered the return of the double-crested cormorants today, seeing at least ten at the boat landing. The osprey shouldn’t be far behind! • With all the excitement yesterday from the solar eclipse I forgot to mention it was also Ducky’s 14th birthday! A few treats, a catnip stuffed banana and lots of love and cuddles filled his day, along with a few long naps :) • Each of us received a covid booster this morning. So far no ill effects • We lost a small crab apple tree and one lilac tree in last week’s snowstorm. A couple of other lilacs look poorly. I removed the driveway plow stakes (hopefully not prematurely) but left the snow shovels out, at least for the rest of this week. You might say I’m superstitious about them. Never set them out too early, or remove them too soon, LoL! • Peace & Love
