Bowling with the kids

Yesterday morning we were on grandparent duty - what to to do with a 12 and 7 year old in dodgy weather?  We went bowling and had a great time.  The 7 year old won both games with a technique l call ricochet- he would pick up a number 8 (heavy) and toss it down the alley with it ricocheting from one side to the other finishing in the middle of the pins and knocking them all over!
In the afternoon l went over to the allotment and mowed the grass that l had strimmed yesterday.  It did not rain until the evening.and is now very windy.
