Artichokes

Went up to the allotment yesterday with the  idea of mowing the lawn however as it rained so much over the winter the grass was about1 foot high and l ended up having to strim it and will mow perhaps today or tomorrow.  Whilst up there l noticed this rather fine artichoke head,  all fluffy and soft - a most unusual state for prickly artichokes.
