Mountain View

We checked out of our hotel in Capetown with Table Mountain completely hidden in the low cloud. The weather was like being back at home with the rain.

We headed to Stellenbosch and drove up a beautifully manicured drive with security to the Graff winery.which has a diamond boutique, many sculptures and the original of the Chinese Girl by Vladimir Tretchikoff on display. We tasted 4 wines and indulged in a charcuterie plate which was amazing. This is the view from there.

We were staying at the Marianne winery not too far away but on arrival the high winds had brought down trees over the power lines so they had not only no power but no water either. 'Have a glass of wine on us,' they said as we tried then to find another place to stay the night. We are now in Franschhoek in the middle of a vineyard with amazing mountain views allegedly. The weather does look better tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
