Brig o' Dee
The Brig o' Dee dates from 1527 and was the site of a battle in 1639 between the Royalists under Viscount Aboyne and the Covenanters who were led by the Marquess of Montrose and William Keith, 7th Earl Marischal.
It consists of seven nearly semicircular ribbed arches, built using granite and Elgin sandstone.
It remains a beautiful bridge but because it's quite narrow, the traffic tailbacks can sometimes be quite spectacular!
