Tree planting

I bought two dwarf fruit trees for my allotment, as I’m trying to go a bit more low maintenance. Plus they will be beautiful. My lovely ex neighbour K offered to do the digging as she knows my back isn’t brilliant. She brought her partner G - to whom she proposed on Feb 29th this year. I’m looking forward to their wedding in August. They’re a really lovely couple. He did most of the digging in fact.
We planted one dwarf apple and a dwarf cherry shown here. My allotment looks an awful mess as I haven’t been while there was endless rain and the soil was waterlogged. I had thought to give it up back in the autumn, but I’m glad I didn’t. Won’t take long to tidy up and get a few potatoes in.
My extra is of the tip (recycling centre) where I went first thing. This is the container for small electrical appliances. I spotted vacuums, microwaves, speakers, all sorts. My kitchen light fittings are in there too. I took a couple of photos and a man rushed over to say I wasn’t allowed to:) I wonder why? So of course I have to put my illicit snap here.
