Dolly's Day

VIOLET

Not much to report today.  Did a few chores in the house before setting off to walk down to the village.  Met Clare on the way and she was heading to the village too so we walked - and talked - together.  She's a local dog walker and she also runs a puppy training school.  She didn't have any dogs with her today but we did meet 4 dogs with their owners who were well known to Clare so we had a chat with each one.

First stop for me in the village was the chemists to pick up my repeat prescription.  Then the usual shopping in Herons and Tesco.  Both shops were quite busy.

The weather today was dry and we did have a bit of weak sunshine this afternoon.  But it was cold and there was a strong wind.

Took my blip shot in my back garden.  Almost didn't spot this tiny flower when I was putting out some bird food.  According to my plant app it seems to be a type of violet ( wood violet, early dog violet or heath dog violet ) Thanks to BikerBear for hosting Flower Friday,

Following on from yesterday my brother went to the Emergency Care Unit at the local hospital this morning and had the dog bite wound cleaned etc.  ( No stitches as apparently they don't stitch dog bite wounds.) There will be a scar but he isn't too bothered about that. He had a tetanus jab and was given antibiotics and sent on his merry way.  Apparently the dog that bit him is a 7 month old puppy.  Hopefully the owner will be responsible and give it some training to prevent any further incidents.
