Amaryllis

It is almost a month since I blipped the two amaryllis buds in the utility room. now, in all its glory, is the earlier, red, variety, ensconced on the font in the dining room, supported by raffia attached to two flat irons on top of the dresser, as is usual.

There is only one head but the four blooms make a (literally) eye-popping display just inside the entrance to the room.
