The accidental bluebell (FF5_2024 & WFW24_01)
Quite windy but sunny outside here so this bluebell, which flowers in a sheltered corner next to our greenhouse, has become my blip for Flower Friday and Wildflower Week. I have blipped it previously, looks like the flower bells were open in early May last year. No idea how it came to be there, we have no others in the garden and we didn't plant it.
I watched a wildlife photography Zoom session yesterday evening, the presenter, Tensi Ward, did say to expect 80% of images to feature the animal's rear, so the visiting hoverfly had clearly seen the same slides :-)
Thanks to Biker Bear and Miranda1008 for hosting.
In other news: we avoided a scam yesterday evening when someone wanted to buy Gill's road bike without seeing it and to pay via PayPal. Gill sent them a request to pay but then had a message to say the payment couldn't be made due to some issue with her account. This was followed by an email saying we needed to transfer £300 to their bank account which would then appear in Gill's PayPal.
At that point Gill stopped and while trying to get clarification from PayPal the tone of the messages changed (FB Messenger)
Gill cancelled the request and has blocked the buyer.
This morning we have reported the saga to both PayPal and the local Police, and realised the email is from a gmail address, not from PayPal's own domain.
All very stressful - but thankfully we didn't send any cash and we still have the bike. Caveat venditor?
