It rained

All day. Alarm woke me at six thirty and it was quiet, then pat pat on the roof and the rain started. We decided we were here so we would do as we planned and headed off, in waterproofs and hiking boots to the castle grounds. Not busy at all, but still enjoyed walking round. Took Hetty back to the camper, had lunch and then walked back to the castle to look inside. Very large second hand book shop but didn’t buy anything. Bit disappointed with the interior of the castle, not as grand as I was expecting, but nice to see it. It finally stopped raining around five. We have lots of wet items hanging up in the shower as it makes a very good drying room.
