Not many trains
Which is fortunately as the two that have gone past have really upset Hetty. I knew the campsite was close to the train line but not this close.
Stopped at our favourite services, Cairn Lodge, for coffee and hubby bought a lovely Shetland wool pullover from the farm shop.
Then lunch at the van and a walk on the old railway line just beyond Callander.
Got to the site about three thirty, nice spot and very friendly guy at reception. Coffee and then a walk to the top station to see how long it would take us and check out places to eat.
Such a small village and yet two stations.
It’s an interesting site as most of the people on it are in tents or pods and got here on foot as it is on the west highland way path. It takes 15 campers but only two on tonight.
Should be interesting tomorrow when we take Hetty on a train.
