Departure

We started on our walk from Glasgow to Edinburgh today.
This involved taking 2 trains to Bowling, which is the start of The Forth and Clyde Canal. It could be classified as a coast to coast walk.  The walk started well, and there have been a lot of good improvements to the path around the Bowling area, which has historically been a great transport hub.
We have enjoyed the day, going under The Erskine Bridge, through Clydebank and walking along the River Kelvin where we are staying now in a hotel by the Botanics.  We will walk back up to the canal in the morning.
Although a bit wet, the rain hasn't been too bad.
