New Life at Easter
A happy Easter Sunday, starting with watching the first of the two morning services at our church online, and then preparing lunch for our middle son and his family. Our daughter-in-law and granddaughters are off to Poland tomorrow, so the girls were extra excited. They arrived clutching their Easter baskets full of tiny chocolate eggs and rabbits, all of which they’d found in the garden this morning. Our youngest granddaughter, H, also had this little Easter chick in her basket.
Granny had organised an egg hunt too, using ‘eggs’ cut out from decorative card and hung with ribbons. They were made last year for an egg hunt in the garden, and were re-purposed this year for an indoor egg hunt, which kept the girls amused for some time. When they returned to Granny with their baskets laden with paper eggs, she exchanged them for a box of Lindt mini eggs each.
While the girls are away in Poland our son will be busy supervising the building work going on at their house, where they’re having a small extension to the kitchen prior to having it completely re-fitted. Life will also be very busy for the next few weeks for Granny and Grandpa, who will be the first port of call for food and laundry for the kitchen-less family!
