Flowering? Of gorse it is!

Sea wall walk today as we were expecting the gardener, Stuart, to come some time to trim our hedge. Actually, not trim but reduce considerably  as it had grown huge.

He cut it down a lot to a manageable level . The centre is very bare but I'm hoping that it will grow ok now that its access to light and rain.
Its Giselina so it does grow well... which was the problem. Note to selves: Dont let it get any bigger
Blip is of one of the many gorse bushes growing by the sea wall. It has remained in flower over winter. I did wonder why people dont have them in the garden but they are very thorny and  dont look good without flowers.
 A beautiful sunny morning.
It absolutely  poured down just as Stuart finished.
