Planes, Parachutists in Paradise

I know I’m a little biased, but the Wānaka Air show “Warbirds Over Wānaka” had a wonderful day to show of the skills of the pilots and planes.

The last extra is where we were walking this morning and saw the planes having their practice day for the show. Then they put on an hours show over the town, and friends invited us to look from their place. It started off with the parachutists in my main photo.

It is spectacular to watch….and I have reservations about all the aviation fuel and jets flying from Christchurch to Wānaka in 4 minutes…exciting, yet is it responsible in this day and age? I’m sitting with conflicting emotions….
