Cabbage Trees

LifeLines said she hadn’t heard of Cabbage Trees before- so here are some for her to look at. Many people dislike them as they are messy! They drop their leaves on the ground and make a mess. We actually pick them up from the single tree we have at home, tie the leaves in a knot and use them as fire starters. They are fabulous at that job!
If you look carefully you can see their flowers - it’s meant to be a sign of a good summer, and we certainly had a wonderful summer in our part of New Zealand.

It’s great to be finally home after a busy day.
