A little bit social
It was another cold morning, with some rain for a time, but it brightened up to a sunny but windy day.
MrMacD went off to the Menzshed and I started making feta. I walked down to the supermarket to buy some milk and also around the corner to the alterations lady to collect my garments. MrMacD is making sourdough, which requires minimal attention at various times during the day. He was pleased to have the whey from my cheese making to add to the dough.
Friends from the Newcomers’ Group sent a text inviting us to join them for a drink at the Victoria Lounge Bar at 6pm. There were ten of us and it was a convivial hour.
We’ve discovered that there’s something wrong with one of the electrical circuits. The lights at the end of the dining room, the light immediately outside the dining room and the lights in the second bedroom aren’t working. However, when we arrived home after drinks they were all working. There’s definitely a problem somewhere. The electricians will come on Tuesday to sort it out … hopefully.
MrMacD is shaping his loaves and putting them to bed in proving baskets, which will go into the fridge overnight and be baked tomorrow morning, then it’s time for bed for us to go to bed.
There were some wonderful clouds in the sky as we waked home after drinks.
