Busy Tuesday
This is a late posting.
I was up very early this morning and spent time on the inventory while it was quiet. After breakfast we went walking, as is usual on a Tuesday. After we got back home we had a FaceTime call with our solicitor so he could witness us signing documents for the sale and the purchase. They were couriered to him this afternoon. I had a light lunch of cheese and an apple before going to my Pilates class. I only have two more sessions left, which is sad.
This afternoon I’ve prepared packing lists for our trip and for when we return to New Zealand and do our road trip to Oamaru. We can now do the trial pack for our trip. We’re hoping to take carry on luggage only, so need to be sure that we’re not over-weight. Both lots of packing need to be done by Monday night so the bags can be put in our car to ensure they’re not packed and shipped off to Oamaru, which would be a disaster.
This evening we met five friends who were all America’s Cup volunteers with us. It was quite an effort to get them all together in the one place at the same time, and we had a lovely evening at Thai Street restaurant - good food and drink, lovely company and a great atmosphere.
As we travelled home there was an amazing half moon in the sky but by the time I had a chance to take a photo it had disappeared behind a cloud, so you’ll have to be content with images from Thai Street.
