Walking through the city

A better day for weather with breakfast in a cafe called Little Tuscany, a perfect place with an interesting menu, enjoyable music, (at 8.30 in the morning it had to be gentle) and a reasonable decaf coffee. Off to Central Station where buying a ticket for a train to Paisley was far easier than trying to book on line last night. In fact Linwood was the destination - to buy a car, apparently on the site where the Hillman Imp was made all those years ago. In a sense John and I met because of our Hillman Imps, his was blue, mine a red car, (1970) - both long gone. On the way home we stopped off at Loch Fyne to use their facilities and buy a sandwich, crayfish in rosé sauce. Very good.

Anyway we now have a modern car to pack the boot full of shopping, it’s good to stock up on a few things (gulp) when in Oban and finally home on an earlier ferry to cuddle pusscats, currently I have Jack purring beside me. In our absence fellow blipper Boomerang fed them all, thank you C for your dedication, they all appreciate your many visits!

A most enjoyable two days away, it is always good to visit Glasgow and we can look forward to staying near there in July.

The extra is for all west coast blippers who just ‘love’ Rest and be a thankful.
