Doreen with Susan

We are saddened to break the news that Doreen, Susan and Barbara’s mum, passed away overnight after several weeks of declining health. She was 98.

Her passing was not unexpected and in many ways is a release and relief for her and for Susan especially who has cared for her constantly for many years. Even so, as many of you will know the inevitability, how ever long expected, doesn’t make it any easier to deal with.

Today has been filled with all those practical matters that have to be attended to which has given some focus to the day.

As always, we’ve so much appreciated all your lovely comments, care and compassion these recent weeks and, for some of you, several years.

I’m delighted that you liked yesterday’s photo of Godinton House gardens. Today’s blip was taken in better times and is how we remember her later years.
