It takes work to look this good...

Another visit to Slimbridge while Mollie was having an oil and filter change, ready for the summer... 

I don't hold out great hopes for kingfisher shots at Slimbridge, as you might already know. The hide windows are glazed and screwed closed, and that considerably impacts any chance of a clear shot. Particularly since cleaning the glass doesn't seem on anyone's daily job list...

Nevertheless, this fellow was on his twig, and seemed focused on something that was clearly irritating him. I liked the way in which it exposed his white chest feathers beneath the orange. However, the extra is probably the better shot, albeit more standard fare...
