The Joe Shaped Hole

Late in the afternoon we took a stroll up on the escarpment near the Tyndale Monument above North Nibley. In doing so we came across Joe's Bench, which we'd not seen before.

Joe was a Charfield village lad who died after complications from medication, aged eighteen. He went to Charlie's old school and had won a place to Warwick reading Advanced Maths, which is reflected on the equations carved into the bench. 

Just one more sign we should all take the blessings of every day with gratitude and know how lucky we are. Journey well, Joe.
