BB - it’s a full day tour today, first we visit the hanging bridges, with our tour guide for the day Kristel - who is brilliant. We see this broad bellied mot mot early on, the highlight for me though, is seeing the violet ear hummingbird on its nest, but it’s a long way away, the extra is taken through a scope
We then head on to the waterfall, and later to the base of the Arenal volcano. It’s given us a good feel of the area, although this is Costa Rica’s ‘fun zone’ zip lining, abseiling, rappelling, rafting and kayaking are readily available- but not for me!
