A GentleMan
A long drive over to the east coast and back to celebrate the life of Uncle Andy. He donated his body to Leeds University, so no funeral or service, just as he wished, but we still gathered to say a final goodbye.
When you live to 102 you outlast most folks - I'd known him 30+ years and yet he was older than any male in my family gets to when I first met him. Little Eloise, the latest extended-family baby, would be his great great niece.
Lots of soft kind tales of a soft kind man. He never had children and yet he still has left a legacy of love, life's work done well.
