Its easy for people who work and play in the outdoors to get too familiar with risk, to fail to see it coming. What we can't see from the photographer's vantage point is the cliff just past NGL, but she knows it's there, she's accounted for it, made a plan and kept everyone safe.

Philosophy Friday 
Has been absent for a while, I'll do better. But today I saw this, just when I needed to, so PF is back.  So


When an earthquake hits & a bridge collapses, we don't say,
 "what a sh*tty bridge, it chose to collapse."

 We acknowledge the earthquake was more than that bridge was designed to withstand-- & we use our new knowledge to rebuild a sturdier bridge.
