Light on the Horizon
Yesterday I started to paint our hallway and didn't find time or inspiration for photography.
Today after I'd taken Merlin for a long morning walk, I finished off the hall walls downstairs. I've run out of paint so the more difficult and expansive part of the wall next to the stairs and upstairs will need to wait.
The tide was favourable so this afternoon we walked on the beach at Hayling Island. Merlin met another German Shorthaired Pointer - a six month old - they seemed pleased to see each other.
It's been a fairly grey day but as we walked the sky began to clear on the horizon and we had a fine view across the water to the Isle of Wight and down the Solent towards Portsmouth and Southampton.
Grateful:
- To the heating engineer who kindly called by this afternoon in his own time to do a few tweaks on our boiler to enable us to have more than a trickle of hot water coming out of the taps. The boiler needs replacing but that will not happen for a few weeks yet.
- To walk on the beach this afternoon. It's been rather a nondescript day and it boosted my spirits no end.
- To have a homely evening with Andy and Merlin.
