Talking Heads
Our meal at Monica Galetti's restaurant last night was superb; we went for the tasting menu and really enjoyed it. We've eaten at a quite few Michelin starred restaurants and the food and experience was certainly at the same level, so I wouldn't be surprised if she is awarded a star soon.
After a quick breakfast from a branch of Gails opposite the hotel, we headed off to the British Museum for the 'Romans' exhibition. W had seen it before a couple of weeks ago but was very happy to go again. This was probably the highlight of the exhibition; the head of the emperor Augustus which is unusual in that it is made from Bronze rather than stone, and was only preserved because it was captured by an enemy and buried as a humiliation. It was discovered some years ago in the Sudan.
Now home again after what has seemed like a small holiday even if it was only one night away!
