Spring

Noticed the sun on the Cornus this morning & had an idea for an in-camera multiple exposure version. This is the version I liked best for the placement of the individual buds on the overall background, with the blend mode set to "Light".  "Average" didn't allow the superimposed buds to stand out enough against the stems. The sun didn't last long - it had disappeared by the time I'd got to this version (about the fifth) and that also reduced the impact of the colour a little.
