Duo

Various Spring flowers are opening in the garden, but today's strong breeze meant that I was looking for a fairly static subject at ground level - and even then needed a sheltered spot. Each Spring we have a host of violets in the lawn and this pair were holding their heads reasonably well above the longer-than-it-ought-to-be grass. We try not to mow when they're flowering - this year there's no decision to be made as the ground is still too wet over much of the garden. My newish mini-tripod saw some action, as did my reflector, trying to get a weeny bit of light into the centre of the main flower.
