Risk tolerance

Back to wintery weather again today, I ventured out to the local shopping centre for some bits and pieces and then stayed home for the rest of the day.

An interesting Zoom session with Cardiff Metropolitan University who are researching into “Food Safety Behaviour in the over 65s”. Apparently our immune systems become decreasingly robust with age and over 70% of people who have food poisoning are over 65,  just 20% of the UK population is over 65, so it's very significant. Perhaps I will rein in my predilection for yellow labels. On the other hand I also learnt, from the other participants, that you can get a 10% reduction at Iceland on Tuesdays, and a bag of salad lasts for  week if you add a piece of absorbent paper.
