First day of spring?

Apparently yesterday was, on account of this year being a Leap Year. Anyway it didn’t feel very spring like when I ventured out late in the afternoon to get a blip. A snell wind sent me home after less than 10 minutes on watch opposite the kingfisher nest.

At least there was no snow which I remember coating the daffodils and the road some 30 odd years ago as R drove me to the local cottage hospital, son number 2 arrived a few hours later.
