The long and (not) winding road
Our fourth consecutive day of walking and we combined a six mile walk with a three mile walk ending up with an 8.75 mile walk.
Despite the sky the ground underfoot was as wet as ever and we came back mud covered below the knees.
We also came back seriously knackered as this was the longest walk so far and meant we are just shy of 30 miles in four days so good training for our high altitude marathon in May.
The trouble is we will have to keep on training or the legs will lose their strength.
Back to the cottage to clean the boots, shower and cook dinner.
Day off tomorrow.
