An early night beckons
At our daughter's bright and early. Luckily, she had a doctor's appointment today (over another matter) made about a month ago, so with the loan of Mr PP's crutches, she was able to see a doctor. Her acute pain is owing to a trapped nerve. In the afternoon, Mr PP drove her to see an osteopath she saw years ago, who practises privately, and she manipulated our daughter's leg. She's due to return on Thursday. The doctor prescribed stronger painkillers. Otherwise, all the NHS has done is unknowlingly provided crutches!
Meanwhile, we two grannies cared for the young master, grizzly with teething pains, and helped look after little Miss B on her return from school. By the afternoon, my tonsils were down to my knees. Swallowing is so painful (as it has been on and off for a couple of days); think I'm just run down.
Just like his big sister, our grandson loves nothing better than being outdoors. The grass was too wet to go on, but he did crawl along the paths, go on the swing, and let me push him along standing up on his sister's scooter! Great fun. He enjoyed exploring and spinning the sails on the ornamental windmill.
Unsurprisingly I didn't make it to the new village line-dancing class this evening.
