Biggindale

A lesser known dale but quite pretty in its way.
Walked from Hartington to Beresford Dale and down the Dove. Extremely wet paths and thick mud until we got to the riverside path.
To get into Biggin Dale we had to traverse a small cliff about 30 feet long above foot deep water because the junction of the rivers was flooded. We made it with dry feet but it was a bit scary.
Sun came out this afternoon and we had to lose two layers to keep cool.
Now enjoying tea and cake before cooking the dinner.
