Obviously we feel as if we have been through one over the last few days. This morning, I put myself through one literally by going in the sea, which had just enough bigger waves to keep you honest, although once out beyond the point where they were breaking, it was just a pleasant swell. With sun on the face and sharp but not bitterly cold water. It was very very restorative and lovely to see quite a few members of the swimming group, all of whom had kind words to say.
Afterwards, Mr A and I headed out together to see Shin Falls, where we had a coffee in a newly opened cafe, and then we had a fairly light lunch at The Pier in Lairg, before taking a leisurely drive back via The Mound, to make it a more or less circular excursion. In the evening, we've been round at A and N's getting some "Elmer love" and enjoying tasty tapas. He's really getting used to us now, and relaxing a bit when we are there, and encouraging both of us to stroke him.
After thinking through all the options, we decided to get me a train ticket to Edinburgh on Sunday morning. That gives me enough time to sort a few things out in Edinburgh, but sadly I won't be able to get in the flat. Still no access allowed. Hoping it will be allowed, in some form, on Monday or Tuesday. Keeping in touch with the neighbours and with our building web forum. Communications from the factors continue to be completely shite.
