Drifting down the Dee

Today's the day ......................... to head off

We travelled south today to spend the weekend in North Wales. Will has an important AGM to go to - I'm just going along for the ride and intend to seriously enjoy myself.

We're staying in Llangollen, which is not a place that I know very well. It's famous for the annual International Eisteddfod that is held here - and then there's the Llangollen Canal (with the famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct built by Thomas Telford) that we had a narrowboat holiday on many years ago. It's a very attractive town on the River Dee.

This lot were having lots of fun shooting the rapids - backwards, in a totally out of control sort of way. But they made it and there was much cheering and whooping from them - and everyone on the bridge watching them .............
