V&A

OH was playing in a golf competion today and I met No.1 in London.  We decided to meet at 1.00 as she had a call with her boss.  I had lots of time and the weather was looking good so decided to walk to the station to combine exercise with day out.  I set out with podcast and soon regretted it - it was much further than I remembered, was a long slow incline and the sun came out.  So I was hot and bothered, worn out AND missed the train.  Local railway stations so next train was an hour later FFS.  So I sat on the station and fiddled on my phone and moaned to my children.  Silly idea and I won't do that again - will just drive to the station.

We re-scheduled meeting time for 1.45 and No.1 was 15 minutes late!!  But I was standing in the sunshine watching the world go by so it was ok.  We had lunch first then visited the Diva exhibition and enjoyed a wander and a chat.  She is a good listener.  Home time came too quickly and she made her way back to Tooting and me to Kent. I won't see her now for a couple of weeks as we are away next week, so that will seem very strange.

OH picked me up from the station and harmony has now been restored - a day away is probably what I needed and I have vowed to try and think before I speak from now on?  Here's hoping!
