The end of an era

In the midst of a big, spring snowstorm, I decided to go for a walk and check out the progression of the demolition of the sanctuary at the Methodist Church.
This is the church that I belonged to in Jr. High and I have fond memories of the youth group that I belonged to there. This sanctuary was really amazing and fairly impractical to manage the upkeep. The gaping round hole used to house a huge stained-glass window. The window was at the back of the sanctuary so no one but the minister could see the window consistently, though.  I think they kept parts of it so people could take the glass. I've found a photo of the window in an article talking about the demolition. Apparently, the sanctuary hasn't been in use since 2019 and was pretty much gutted. It will be a change to the skyline to have it gone.

There was a funny article once talking about this sanctuary building as the "big screen" that the slide projector building on campus could use to show photos on.  (I recently blipped that circular building)
