Diary of an Edinburgher

Maggie doesn’t mention the cone…

Pip was going to be joining us today, but Abi decided she'd stay home instead. But we met them out on our walk. I just go along with Archie these days - if he wants to cross the road or go the other way, well that's fine by me, as often he just doesn't want to go out. We also met Maggie and her dad. Maggie looked as though she didn't want to acknowledge the elephant in the room, ie the cone. We also went out for a second walk round the Links, so he's done quite well today.

I noticed an offer of Disney+ for £1.99 for a month. I read that the new Shogun is on that platform, and it's going to be 'the next big thing'. Well it isn't (on Disney). In fact there is absolutely nothing that I want to see, but I can't really say I've wasted £1.99... I did watch the first episode (of three) about Diane Fossey and the gorillas (which was on National Geographic), but it was too upsetting to watch any more after her favourite gorilla, Digit was beheaded, and she herself was murdered by the proachers she tried to get rid of. That channel may be worth another browse for something worth watching...

But, JR was delighted to find that 'Hamilton' was there. It's on here at the Festival Theatre at the mo, but we haven't been tempted - the whole dialogue in shouty rap does not appeal. We watched about ten minutes of it...

Archie still unsettled at night. No lab results today. His beard needs a good wash and brush, but we don't want to harrass him too much...

A friend is coming up from the Borders by train tomorrow for a visit. JR made a cake.
