Birthday lunch in the mizzle
The Carpenters Arms, Stanton Wick
With the help of N, took Dad out for lunch today to celebrate his birthday. He wanted a steak so we ended up at The Carpenters Arms, a pub housed in a row of former miners’ cottages. A day of birthday phone calls and visitors, but not the best weather, endless rain and mizzle. In extras, the birthday boy, 95 years young!
It’s been a long and busy day, after a very disturbed night, so will catch up with you tomorrow.
