Retiral

I'm back 'up north' for a friend and ex colleague's retiral do. Kemnay village hall, complete with proper stovies wi' oatcakes and beetroot from The Dairy.

I've known Bob for over 37 years. Scary. And there were loads of other people there that I worked with over the years. It was like a GRC reunion. Naida read a poem and John, who I lodged with for 4 months when I started working in Huntly, made a speech. Elsewhere there the chat was about work, retirement, children, grandchildren and how much older we all look. Folk I'd been close to for so many years. My CLD family. It probably won't happen again, but it was fun.
